Spring 2022 Newsletter

Hello animal lover!

You are receiving this newsletter because you either are a current Happy Paws Inn & Resort customer or hopefully a future one, having contacted me to inquire about my pet sitting services in the past.

It’s been 6 months now since Bella passed away and I started pet sitting, first with Rover, and then in February this year, I officially launched Happy Paws Inn & Resort. It’s been a fantastic ride. I have already learned so much. I am extremely grateful for the trust you place in me by letting me care for your beloved furry family member. I know what a big responsibility it is. Thank you!

Below are some news about my services and an increase in my fees.

DISCONTINUING DAY CARE When I started out, I wanted to do pet sitting as a full-time business, trying to sustain myself financially with Happy Paws. However I realized that I cannot make a living that way because I am located within the city limits of Port Townsend where I cannot have more than 3 dogs stay with me at the same time. At the same time I also learned that 3 dogs are really too much for me to handle anyways. Long story short, I had to take on additional work which requires me to be outside the house for 2 hours a day and I feel it’s not fair to my human and animal clients to continue to offer day care.

DISCONTINUING ROVER I am moving away from Rover due to the high fees, the delays with getting paid and the poor cost-benefit relationship.

I am pretty booked until the end of August, with a few openings in April and May. My sister and niece are coming for a 3-week-long visit from Berlin this summer, so I will take time away to be with them, COVID permitting.

Vielen herzlichen Dank, woof, slobber, and purr,
Claudia Zysk
